Dear Netherwood Neighbors,
This will be the sixth year NHN has sponsored food baskets given to Plainfield families at Christmas, for whom NHN buys both a turkey and a ham. The rest of this “basket of goodies’ is donated by you, our generous neighbors.
Requested items include, but are not limited to:
- Canned goods (fruit, veggies, drinks, soups, sauces, etc.)
- Rice and pasta
- Cereal
- Baking items, i.e. cake mixes, pancake mixes
- Tea and coffee
- Candy
- Other non-perishable food items
- Reusable grocery bags like the cloth or plastic ones you buy at the supermarket to help us deliver the food
Bring donations to Laura Kayser at 1116 Loraine Avenue. Leave them on the front or back doorstep, or ring the bell. Donations are being accepted through Thursday, December 20th.
On Friday, December 21st, we will be putting the baskets together, and on Saturday, December 22nd we will deliver them to the recipients’ homes.
