Halloween 2016

It’s almost that time of year, when ghosts and goblins are on the prowl for candy!  Halloween is a time to dress up, have fun, and don’t think about that dentist appointment you’ll need in the near future.

Here are some festive activities going on around town:

  • Friday, October 28th – Halloween parade in the Children’s Library at the Plainfield Public Library
  • Saturday, October 29th – something for the adults!  A party at William T. Gough mansion.  Please RSVP to qman56@comcast.net by Sunday, October 23rd.
  • Monday, October 31st – Trunk or Treat at City Hall

And from the Plainfield Police Department:

The Plainfield Department of Public Safety wishes to advise all city residents to be especially watchful for any signs of abnormal activity regarding Halloween Festivities on October 30 and October 31, 2016.

Residents are asked to observe a voluntary juvenile curfew of 8:30 PM on both days.  Additionally, parents and guardians are advised to accompany their children during any “Trick or Treating” ventures.   It is strongly recommended that those activities cease by 8:30 PM on Halloween Night.
